Environmental Studies is not a degree you can get cheaply via alt-credit. You may want to rethink the degree, or else choose a school that would have it and would allow you to bring in 90cr via ACE. There are probably at least a dozen or so where you can do that. SNHU has a degree in it, and I know they'll take 90cr from Sophia/Study.com/CLEP, etc. Wilmington University also has that degree.

Dang, I'm so confused... this is all new to me. I've never really been thru this before with the transferring and stuff like that. Are those colleges competency? At my own pace?

For the last person who asked me, here's my answer to them... again, you want to provide more details, so re-read my previous post #2 and use the template. I suggest you apply to TESU for two degrees and see which one you can complete, a BALS NSM and the BA Environmental Studies. The courses required for both are pretty much identical for the first 90 credits, it's the final AOS credits that will differ.

3: Environmental Studies (42SH: 15SH must be upper level)

A: Biology I w/Lab 4SH = Study.com Biology I w/lab
B: Environmental Sci 3SH = Sophia.org or Study.com
C: Earth's Resource 3SH = Study.com = GEO-151 Physical Geology
D: Geology (Human) 3SH = TESU GLB 301 (3UL)
E: Chemistry I 4SH = Study.com Chemistry I w/lab

F: Area Courses 9SH = TESU 6, TECEP 3
TECEP Environmental Ethics (ETH-210-TE)
TESU ENS-314 = Global Environmental Change (6UL)

G: AOS Electives 12SH
TESU ENS-360 = Environmental Sustainability and Social Justice (6UL)
Take 2 LL courses and you're done with the final 6 credit requirement
(email for permission to take Astronomy, Meteorology, whatever else that they may take from ACE providers)

You can seriously complete this in 2 terms after you transfer in everything.
Basically, you should take the 3 UL courses in a first term for 15 credits (flat rate).
Take the Cornerstone/Capstone plus TECEP in one term (final term), all in under $10K.

I didn't realize that the two ENS courses offered by TESU are 6 credits each. That does make it easier if you're willing to take more than one term with them.

SNHU and Wilmington University are not competency-based/self-paced, no. You'll either need to choose a different degree or resign yourself to taking 30 standard RA credits from these (and/or other) schools.

SNHU would probably be cheaper than TESU for that exact Environmental Science degree. You should be able to find 90 alt credits to transfer in.

SNHU full-time is 2 classes that you take during an 8-week term. Each Sunday there is a paper due, each Thursday forum comments are due. You can work ahead I heard.

Intro to Art History - 3
Intro to Socialogy - 3
Intro to Physical Science - 3

I don't mind doing 2 terms, either AA degree first and then BA or do a BA in 2 terms. I'm tired of working these min. wage jobs, been doing it for the last 10 years so I need a breakthrough. I only have a SAS cert - intro to programming, guard card, and forklift license not sure if those will help. So, where do I go from here? Thank you guys for helping me! There's people out there that are doing consultation calls for money saying I graduated with a BS in x amount of months.

There are a few more that I had on my short list when I looked at Environmental Sciences or Studies... It all depends if you're looking for online and/or butt-in-seat options and depends which state you reside in. Even University of Phoenix made my list for some reason, here are a few more... Ultimately, I recommended the previous person TESU over these options and for them to ladder up to a specific Masters for under $9K afterwards, but you should check them out anyways to see which may be better for you...

Wait which state are you in, it seems you're just looking for a Bachelors for "checking the box" and not looking specifically at changing professions to Environmental Studies. Hmm, if that is the case, why not go for a TESU Associates in Applied Sciences and a BA Liberal Studies with a Natural Science and Math concentration. That would be the cheapest, easiest, fastest option at TESU, then go for the $9K Masters I was referring to with the previous person... Excelsior has a Bachelors in Science, Natural Sciences if you wanted to go a different route too... whatever floats your boat.

Oh I'm in California. I thought about Environmental Studies and it's a major big difference compared to Environmental Science. If I want to go to Tesu, I think I'm going to do a BS in Clinical Laboratory Science.  Oh okay, yeah that would make more sense!
