What good is a residency requirement, when you can pay a fee to avoid it all together? Sounds diploma mill-ish to me.

The enrolled options plan essentially waived the residency requirement for a fee. I don't really see the residency requirement as an academic issue so much as a question of covering their costs. If they allow everyone to transfer everything in and don't charge a fee how do they pay for their overhead? They had obviously come to the conclusion that $888 for a bachelor's degree was not enough to do that.
Since they are still the cheapest choice out there, it's hard to say they are wrong.

A diploma mill that makes you complete all applicable academic requirements, even if it's not with them? That's not a very good business model for a diploma mill

It's not much different from what Excelsior does. The Excelsior Course Option allows you to avoid the enrollment fee, but you have to take 12 credits in Excelsior courses. The Multi-source option allows you to avoid what is essentially a 12-credit residency requirement as long as you pay them over $1,000.

I need one more easy TECEP to complete my residency. Any suggestions?
Right now I am registered for technical writing, psychology of women, and abnormal psychology, but these could change this week.
Also, how do we register for the capstone?

The course description says, "Advisory: Students should have completed or be near to completing all of their area of study requirements before enrolling in this course." but they don't seem to enforce it in any particular way.

Here's a thread talking about TECEPs some people have found easier http://www.degreeforum.net/excelsior-tho...start.html.
Just keep in mind that "easy" for someone who has spent years working in business may look different from "easy" for someone who is a young Psychology major. It's all dependent on personal perspective
That said, I am registered for Eng Comp I & II, Tech Writing, Nutrition, and Medical Terminology. I need to pass any 4 to complete my residency requirement.

I am a liberal studies major. Is nutrition 'easy'? I took medical terminology with straighterline already.

I was just thinking about this the other day. There should be, if not already.
