New TESU Residency Requirement!!! 16cr, TECEP's do not count?!?

I am enrolled under the 2014/15 catalog and have 3 credits by TECEP and another TECEP scheduled. TESU confirmed I could take the remainder of the residency credits in the May term to count for residency.
If I understand ALL these changes though, won't I still need to pay for the Cornerstone thru TESU? I am trying to cover all my bases and go the cheapest route.

No, since you were enrolled before May 25, you don't have to take the Cornerstone.

For those that didn't already take a bunch of TECEP's, this doesn't have a huge effect on them. You can plan other less expensive courses/exams to make up a little of the cost. The difference will be something like $1200 ($2000-$888 for TECEP's), which you can save up and pay for at the end (you always have the option to take courses, so they won't know in advance that you're going to be paying the waiver until you make the final decision when you apply for graduation). And if you're taking something like SL, you can make it even less of a difference by taking more courses in a month, and driving the cost down. You can also take more 6cr CLEP's or the ACTFL language exam.

I know it's a pain, but they've made changes to the plans every year. This year is just a surprise because they moved up the date to April 1, and they are making the TECEP's not count for residency retroactively.

But the fact that they removed the TECEP/PLA loophole that most of us thought they were crazy to have in the first place is NOT a surprise to any of us who have been here a while. To have had it available for 3 years was awesome, but I was under no illusion this would last forever. Prior to the 2013/14 catalog, there was no Per-Credit plan at all, and you either had to pay the Enrolled Options fee (something around $3000) or the Comprehensive Plan, so the PCTP has only been available for a short while, and the waiver makes it less expensive than it used to be to get a degree here.

Oh, and lets not forget all of the free/cheap/inexpensive options available now that weren't then: Kaplan (2013), TEEX (2012), The Institute (2015), Saylor (2014), ALEKS (2013), Saylor (2014), SL (2012), study.com (2014), Jumpcourse (2014) - these did not exist before, or were not their current free/cheap price, and so most people could not completely test out of a degree at all, but most brought their credits from other institutions and were able to use CLEP/DSST exams to get a bunch of credit previously unavailable to them at other colleges. In BAin4Weeks, he only had CLEP, DSST, UExcel & GRE to choose from!!

I would still recommend going to TESU for my friends who are interested in getting their degree, especially their BSBA with the TECEP capstone option. And I still think it's a great deal. If I were under the plan I originally signed up for back in 2012, I would STILL think I was getting a great deal paying TESU $3000+ for my degree.

Again, not saying this doesn't stink if you wanted to do the PCTP with TECEP's for residency, but I'm also saying to look on the bright side, and the fact that you can still get a Bachelor's degree from an RA college for less than $5000-$6000 (less that it costs for a year at my local state college!).

Cornerstones are not the same as a capstone, and I would be shocked if this is made AOS-specific.

This is going to be a rudimentary "how to learn online" course, and it will be an easy way to boost your GPA (although not significantly, as it's only 1 cr).

Lmao, AMU's introduction to online learning is the only B I have ever gotten. ****** my GPA I wouldn't take it too lightly

Unless you select the Comprehensive tuition plan, you will be automatically charged and placed into the Per Credit tuition plan upon registration for an online course; this plan requires students to complete 16 credits as part of a residency requirement.

TECEP exams completed before or during the May 2016 term still count towards the residency requirement. Any exam attempts in June or later will not apply.

I was wondering when you applied to TESU. Did you enroll before April 1?
Have you ever taken a course or enrolled with them prior to that email?

You should automatically become enrolled April 10th I believe.

I have been accepted since last summer but I hadn't enrolled for anything through TESU until this April's term(which technically started April 4th) for 2 TECEPs.

I'm sorry, everyone, but rather than read through these 20 pages trying to find my particular answers, I'll just ask these questions:

1) I enrolled January 2015 and currently have 15 TECEP credits acquired and the 3-credit Capstone Course planned. Will my residency requirement be met?
2) My last TECEP was taken in August 2015. Will my placement in the 2015 Per-Credit plan expire eventually? Will enrollment in the Capstone Course renew my catalog?
