Thomas Edison State University has revised its undergraduate tuition plans and fees. The changes are designed to make it easier for students to select a plan based on how many credits they intend to take in a given year. The revised plans also include a reduction in the tuition cost for the Per Credit Tuition Plan, a new payment plan option for the Comprehensive Tuition Plan, the retirement of the Enrolled Options Tuition Plan and the elimination of several student fees.
Per Credit Tuition Plan
New Jersey residents: $385 per credit registered
Out-of-state residents: $499 per credit registered
Comprehensive Tuition Plan
New Jersey residents: $6,350 per year (12 months)
Out of state residents: $9,352 per year (12 months)
Payment Plan:
As of April 1, students who select the Comprehensive Tuition Plan (and who are not using financial aid) will be able to use a payment plan that will allow them to spread the annual tuition into three payments over the course of six months. Students who opt for the payment plan will be charged a one-time $35 set up fee.
Enrolled Options Tuition Plan
As of April 1, the Enrolled Options Tuition Plan will be retired. The decision to retire the plan was based on current engagement trends of our students and the University's desire to simplify tuition options for students. Students currently enrolled under the Enrolled Options Tuition Plan will be able to remain in the plan throughout the remainder of their current enrollment year. For example, if you began your current annual enrollment under the Enrolled Options plan on March 1, 2016, you will remain active in the plan until March 1, 2017.
Fees
As of April 1, the following fees will be eliminated: course registration fee, technology services fee, Enrolled Options annual enrollment fee, enrollment extension fee, annual enrollment late fee and the TECEPÂ
rescheduling fee. Two new fees will be introduced as of April 1: Comprehensive Tuition Payment Plan Set Up fee ($35), and the Residency Waiver fee ($2,000).
The new undergraduate tuition plans and fees are effective as of April 1. Students interested in utilizing the Comprehensive Tuition payment plan (and who are not using financial aid) should contact the Office of Bursar at
