New Study.com Upper Level (UL) BA CS courses for TESU

The BA in CS from TESU from 2018 says you need 15 upper level CS courses (18 upper level includes the 3 credit liberal arts capstone course). 

Study.com got ACE approval as of September 2018 for upper level credit for computer architecture, systems analysis & design, database management which is 9 upper level credits. I am told that the DSST in MIS/Saylor MIS & TEEX no longer count as upper level courses at TESU for the BA in CS. This means that you could theoretically take these courses in under a month for $270 (from Study.com - $200 is for 2 courses, and $70 for the 3rd) & you can also take the Study.com Operating Systems course (ACE lower level credit though - under $70) which is required for the TESU BA in CS. 

Thus - this leaves 2 more courses to reach the 15 credit upper level requirement for the BA in CS. Does anyone know any easy/cheap options for these assuming the DSST in MIS/Saylor MIS is supposedly no longer counted as upper level? edit: Study.com's MIS course is upper level.

There is the DSST in Fundamentals of Cybersecurity (3 UL), but doesn't seem to have any good prep. Then also the TECEP Network Technology exam which has prep from study.com but no idea on how easy that is.

Very interesting! The 300 level operating systems course from study.com is listed as LL on the ACE registry website. Do you believe it will become upper level? Also, why do you believe the study.com data strucs/algos course will be given ACE/NCCRS credit? 

How hard/easy were the study.com CS courses? Where they easy/fast to complete or were they hard? 

I also see 12 UL courses on your evaluation excluding that study.com 300 operating systems course. 

What will you do for the 5th CS upper level course/exam?

Yes, the MIS DSST and TEEX courses are no longer UL at TESU. As of last July, TESU now follows the ACE recommendations pretty closely and LL courses are generally not accepted as UL any more. This includes Saylor courses as they are predominately all LL recommended.

FYI, instead of CS 305 (Operating Systems), you should take CS 105 (Intro to Operating Systems) as it also comes into TESU as COS-240: Operating Systems.

Instead of the Management Information Systems DSST, you can take Study.com BUS 303 to get upper-level MIS credit.

You can also take Bus 309 (Digital Marketing) for another UL CS credit (not 100% sure this works in BACS, but it does work in the ASNSM CS and BSBA CIS).

If you're considering taking the Networking TECEP, you should use the Saylor study materials instead of Study.com, as they are designed for that course.

When I asked (back in the dark ages) the Networking TECEP did NOT count towards the BACS AOS.
