New Spanish Site
#1
Hey guys, anyone used the new spanish site - SpanishHour (I believe is the name)? I'm thinking of taking up a new language for credit and figured that might be best/cheapest way to go since testing really isn't an option right now.

Any other really low cost options like this one. It doesn't have to be Spanish, per say, but I would like to do the class/assessment online and not have to worry about testing out.

ALEKS is about as cheap as it gets. Have you tried it yet? Also, NFA credits and depending on where you're enrolled, FEMA's can be cheap too. TESC will take them directly, but since COSC doesn't, it works out cheaper for me to CLEP.

ALEKS has a language course???? Or were you just speaking in generalities of cheaper courses? I am basically just looking for a cheap language program for credit, so SpanishHour looks to be a winner. I ju.st want to learn a second language and get credit at the same time without spending alot of money

I have already completed some ALEKS, FEMA, NFA but thanks for the info.

Sorry.. was just talking about other cheap courses out there. Sad

Use Spanish Hour and then watch Spanish television to reinforce. It's free!

I don't think Spanish Hour gives you college credit. It was my understanding that it is just a great way to learn the language.

I think you're correct(after looking at the site) - it is just a way to learn the language and no credit. Although I guess @ $15/month and then take the CLEP it still is a cheap option.

Isn't there a few other language testing options like NYU? I thought I had read about these in one of forums.
