My brother is currently pursuing a bachelor's in business at Liberty. There is one 4 credit hour course in religion that they are very upfront about. Atheists are not penalized academically. Secular classes are just that, secular. This is far better than universities which hide the fact you will be required to take courses designed to indoctrinate you in their political worldview where disagreement with your professor results in a low grade.
Liberty's admission's process for transfer students is horrible but the classes are excellent. Liberty is the only university I know that lets you stack discounts. My brother receives a 15% Sophia discount and 25% First Responder discount bringing his tuition down close to $250 per hour which is the military rate. They have many other discounts. Tons of majors.
As you would expect, university staff who recognize GOD is watching them and for whom brotherly love is foundational to their core will very likely treat students better than atheists who don't feel accountable to anyone.
