We went to a Great Big Huge Outdoor Amphitheatre for a concert. The local symphony played a whole bunch of patriotic pieces and wound up with the 1812 Overture, complete with real cannons. My dad fired one of the cannons (actually a cute little mortar) and gets a big kick out of talking about "playing with the symphony." hilarious The concert ended with a big whoppin' fireworks show. Very cool.
I love that piece! It would be neat to see it played in person and not just over the speakers.
My family and I went to a TEA Party....

We went to my uncle and aunt's house on the Fourth; however, it rained ALL DAY, so we couldn't do fireworks.
My uncle told everybody to come back on August 8, and we will try it again. hilarious

We were planning to go to the local TEA Party as well, but, as I said, it rained ALL DAY.
