Dantes nightmare!
#1
I think I am in a Dantes nightmare! I have been having trouble every since I took three Dantes paper tests. I went to the test site and the lady there gave me my three Dantes tests. She told me that she had a class and so just pick the test I wanted to start with. She checked on me two other times, and the last time she told me she had to leave and just leave the tests on the table! That was October 15th. When I hadn't heard in 3 weeks time, I called Dantes and they said they had not recieved the tests and to contact the testing site. I did this. She told me that she had sent the two tests. I told her I had taken 3 tests! I finally convinced her, that I had taken 3 tests. She called Dantes and they told her they had received them November 4, but had not graded them yet. I called Dantes today. They said that the tests were graded but they could not give out any scores. The person I talked to said the scores would go to my college. She talked like I would not recieve my scores. I have read everyone else's posts and everyone has said that they recieved their scores in the mail. So, my question is will Dantes send the scores to me? I am so frustrated. I will repeat this to everyone. TAKE THE COMPUTER TESTS!

I feel your pain. My one paper DSST was a nightmare too.

You SHOULD receive a score in the mail. But they are often pokey. And they WON'T tell you your score over the phone....I tried that too. Give it a few more days and see if the scores come in the mail. If not, call again and make a stink. Ask to talk to Sally....she's the one I spoke with who actually had her act together and did a little legwork on my behalf.

sounds like my nightmare that i had earlier this february... i am not a public speaker and i took the public speaking dantes (which is pen and paper) and after giving them a month and a half leeway, i began calling dantes asking for my scores they said they had not recieved my scores so 4 months later between haggling with the school and the testing facility and wondering who the eff took my $70 . *shrug* no luck. i just have to retake it.

as for you, just ask dantes to send you a copy of your results because you had not recieved it . they will tell you that they cannot give you the results over the phone, so they will mail it to. No fair if the school gets to see it and not you Wink

When we did not receive scores for a paper test, probably due to a "fill in the bubble" error by my son, I called and was told they would generate a transcript and send it in the mail to my home. It took about a week to receive. No cost.

Try calling again.

I had an issue similar, but not as bad. Basically, I just kept calling DSST every other day and bothering them until they sent me a "copy" of my score report that I finally received. I feel your pain over the public speaking test. Mine took almost 12 weeks. Bottom line, if they have the score documented keep bugging them to send it to you. You have paid for that notification as part of your testing fee in my opinion. Good luck
