Agreed! It's on my list for down the line, but I'm not letting it take up too much head space in the short term.

I've started the Insurance Ethics course (OMG....I'm bored to tears less than a third of the way in!). One thing I noticed, this is a 2 unit class, and the GE requirements list 3 as being necessary. Will this be an issue?
Also, partially to see if I could do it, and partially because I may end up going this route (Psychology is my one and only academic love), I've put together a plan for a BA in Psychology from TESU. Can y'all take a look at it? I think I've got it fairly well put together with the exception of finding a test-out option for these four classes:
- Social Psychology I
- Social Psychology II
- History and Systems of Psychology
- Ethics in the Social Sciences
It also appears that three of these four classes will need to be considered upper level as well.
If dfrecore (or someone else) could look over the attached spreadsheet to see if I've made any mistakes, and if you have ideas for test options for the group above, I'd greatly appreciate it!

Study.com has 8 pys classes and if I recall correctly their Social Psychology is UL PSY-370 at TESU
Tor has Abnormal Psyc (PSY-302), Physiological Psyc (PSY-303) History and Systems of Psyc (PSY-202) all as upper level
(P.S. Considering this myself for a second BA, never found a test option for Ethics other than the TESU class)

Here's my Psychology degree plan for TESU: JSD's BA in Psychology (after July 1st, 2015) - Degree Forum Wiki - Wikia
The only option for History and Systems of Psychology is Tor College Credit (as mentioned by AJ_Atlanta). There is no test out for Ethics in the Social Sciences (a course I am currently taking through TESU). Social Psych I/II can be completed by taking ONE upper-level Social Psych course, and the additional 3 credits are made up in your Psych/Area-of-Study electives.
I'm almost done with this plan, feel free to ask me for clarification

hilarious , I am not a good test taker or have good memory but I work hard on every course.
The ethics course wasn't too bad, I went into it cold and nearly passed the first try without going through the materials. The second try after skimming the materials throughout the course, I was able to get 80%. You are not required to do the course work, just exam it until you get it...
For the ALEKS courses, I do the initial assessment, work a few topics, do the second/subsequent assessments until I get 70%. *sigh* I am stalling at the moment with Stats, I am not getting the concepts, but that's the good part, I learn more with each pie section...
In regards to your Ethics course you should be get a credit waiver from that, but you will need to make up that credit so you get at least 120 to graduate. You should be taking that cornerstone for the 1 credit and also for GPA purposes.

AJ_Atlanta, jsd, and bjcheung77...thank you all VERY much! That really helps.

I keep forgetting that I can do that with some of these. I keep locking myself into the CLEP/DSST mindset of having to study until I *know* I can pass. Thanks for the reminder!

Oh God, Stats. I haven't passed a math class since I *barely* passed Trigonometry my Junior year of high school in 1987. I figure I'm going to have to take a remedial math class, then basic College Algebra, before I can even attempt Statistics again.

I am math-phobic for sure... I ended up taking the (behavioral science-) stats class at my local community college for cheap and got an A+... after walking out of the final exam when I knew I couldn't finish more than 50% of it.
I was a 30 year old among much smarter (as far as math) 19-21 year-olds, and still out scored most of them somehow. You can finish the open-book, open-note ALEKS stats course just fine, I promise you. And I'm telling you this as someone who would probably struggle in an intro-to-college-math course.

I passed Intermediate Algebra and College Algebra, but have stalled on Stats. I will say that I think basically nothing I've taken algebra-wise has prepared me for stats - it's a completely different beast.
The bad news with both a BSBA or BA in Psych is that both need stats. The good news is, if you take it, it won't be wasted if you do the other degree instead. I would do the ALEKS courses that you need for the BSBA, since you're going to need at least 1 math course in addition to stats in the Quant Lit category anyway.

That helps a ton, thanks! I've been freaking out about how in the world I'd manage to pass the math portion of getting a degree for MANY years now. It's really held me back. But there are so many available study options now. Between that, and what you just wrote, I feel a lot better.
I've updated my plan for a BA in Psych from TESU. Thank you for the link to your plan jsd! Between you and dfrecore, I think I might be getting the hang of this. After doing some research, I really like the "everything included" aspect of study.com, so I maxed out the number of credits I can take through them, which ended up dropping the per class rate from $100 each down to $76 each thanks to this discount plan.
The 7 units I have to take through TESU (Cornerstone, Capstone, and Social Science Ethics) just kills my budget. Otherwise, this would be an insanely cheap degree to obtain.

Those ALEKS courses cover far more than most college classes, if you can get to over 70% then you KNOW the subject rather well.
I like stats (and they are relevant in marketing, my day job) but dang that is a lot of material
