Anyone is eligible, just make sure the school you are going to (or want to go to) accepts the tests you want to take. Good luck!

Anyone can take DSSTs (DANTES Subject Standarized Tests). Just make sure you can find a test center that offers them. My DANTES center is twenty five minutes away, which is twenty minutes more than my CLEP testing center. Yep...I'm spoiled.

When I was in the Navy, I could probably throw a rock from the deck of my ship and hit my test center...
I never did get around to taking more than one free test.  If only I knew.

5 min walk from my test center, same place 4 DSST and Clep, can take tests any day or time i want, luckiest girl!..but may soon move..and will have to fly for any test!!! Am trying to scrumble thru the remaining ones so i minimise a looming nitmare!!

DSST exams used to be for only the military. I'm so glad we have access to them now.

No, wait, that was my dad's response to me whining about walking to elementary school. But I did have to drive a half hour to the test center, and then 45 minutes to work afterwards. Anyway, back to the original question. Yes, everyone is eligible! Around 2000 universities accept DSST exams for credit. There's only a little overlap between DSST and CLEP subjects, which means there are over 60 unique exams between the two. Something for everyone.
