Hi all! I posted this in another thread but in case some of you don't check all the threads, I know this will be helpful to a bunch a'ya,, this is my eval.
Ok sorry this took so long.
I scanned my academic evaluation so you could see exactly what's up.
PS - the images are kind of hard to view at first, after you click on the link, click on the image again and it'll be way easier to see.

The "Spec. Stud. in Selecte T" are all Criminal Justice courses from Penn Foster, I'm not sure why they were transcribed that way.
These credits came from Penn Foster Courses, (Completed CJ associates degree), CLEPS- Psych, Soc, Ed. Psych, HG&D. Aleks- All Math courses. Straighterline- English II. (English I was from Penn Foster), and the FEMA credits.
Hopefully this clears up a bit of questions, but I'm sure it's also going to raise a few.
Like why couldn't my "Business Math", "American Courts Systems," or "Library Orientation" go under general electives instead of free electives? They actually didn't count American Court Systems or Library Orientation at all, they're stuck in "other courses" with my leftover FEMA credits...?

So it doesn't say Penn Foster on the TESC transcript on where those CJ credits we're completed? It just says the class and the amount of credits earned right?

Hey Killer,
I think you could get American Court Sysytems moved to gen ed's since they allow CJ stuff to go under SS. Also I see alot of other CJ stuff that could go under gen ed's also. I did have a few things maked Spec on my original eval. That changed later. They mark thing that when they don't know what to call it. Business Math is listed as a business course. I don't think they will move on that along with Library Orientation. Start a ticket and ask them to move ACS and some of tha tCJ stuff moved. Also look at the FEMA they did not give credit to and check and see if some of those are ones tha tthey take but someone was just to lazy to follow through and evaluate them. But the good news is you are almost done. :hurray:
What are you doing for your 9 Humanities credits?

I see you have General Math I is that Aleks Begining Algebra? Are they giving credit for that again?
I don't see why they put your AOJ courses under free elective rather then General Electives. Then they could fill up more of your free electives with FEMA. I would think if they gave your Social Sciences for 2 AOJ credits then you could appeal that they can go in GEN Ed.
I see you have World of Art Art-100 that is different then the Art of the western world ART-166 so maybe you could do that for a Humanities without to much work.
Good luck with this you are so close. I would make an appointment with an advosor and guestion some of these placements.

Excelsior, yep there doesn't seem to be anything indicating that they are Penn Foster courses.
hey alley!
Umm I'm not sure yet about my remaining humanities, I kinda chickened out of the CLEP Humanities, and then I was going to do A&I lit but then I read that so many people said it was a stressful test. A lot of people said it was easy too, but I would definitely be one of the stressed out testers lol. Maybe some actual TESC classes so I could have a GPA?
Linda
Art of the Western World is a great idea. Definitely a great subject for me.
I'm not sure about ALEKS, since this eval was over 6 months ago I am going to have to re-apply, I'm probably going to lose the Beginner Algebra if they stopped accepting it?
I took so darn long, I was supposed to finish up my last 21 credits within a few months of this eval but then so many things got in the way.
ohhh boy I do have my work cut out for me as far as moving credits around and getting everything in place. thanks for everyone's advice, this is all,,,so nuts lol. Kinda fun though, since I am so close. YAY.
Thanks everyone and I'll keep everyone posted on how this goes, I'm going to re-apply in July and then FINISH UP! :-)

Eck I'm wondering now how these courses would've distributed if I would've applied as a Criminal Justice major?
Or if I had applied at Excelsior...Or COSC...or...
wow does this make anyone else as crazy as it makes me? lol.

Hey Killer,
Linda had a good point about Art of the Western World. That could be one of your Humanities classes you need. then you are down to 6 more credits. Just try the A&I Lit. I bet you will be fine. You never know until you try. Also look at Tech Writing thats an okay test. Also you have to look into getting some of those credits moved up. They seem to be in the wrong place. My first eval was a mess. I had so much out of place it was mind blowing. It took sometime but I did get it all fixed. They just completely put stuff in the wrong place.
Having a GPA could benefit you if you want to go to grad school. Or some employers are now looking at GPA's. I have had two friend recently have to produce their GPA's for the job. They would not hire anyone with a GPA less the 3.0. Both of them. Good luck Killer you are almost there. :hurray:

What I'm confused about is... since it doesn't indicate anything about Penn Foster on the TESC transcript couldn't you tell an employer that you tested out those credits if they ask why there is no GPA and just a P/F ..if they do ask of course? Lol. Would be kind of hard explaining them about ALEKS,SL,PF and the whole ACE process?
