My Journey - TESU BA Computer Science
Digital Marketing did not get placed into my BA-CS plan, but I have an MIS in there. I don't know where I did that MIS, probably not Study.com, so hopefully that is an option for @KittenMittens and others. I've had it in there for a while, like C++ programming.

I'm thinking about the capstone and when I might enroll. It would be nice if the poetry classes were over or almost over, so that would mean enrolling for May term or later. @Merlin was there a reason to enroll by June? I can't recall if that was only the Cornerstone change or capstone related.

You need to register for the cornerstone to start no later than June term so you can get it done before the change (which will enroll you as well) but that doesn't really have anything to do with the capstone.

The only capstone change I can think of is the one that kicks in next month. That is the new requirement that capstone courses can no longer be taken until someone has at least 100 evaluated credits towards their degree (with at least a 2.0 GPA) and has passed certain pre-requisite courses, like college composition and "most" of their degree core/AOS.

The only other date-related concern for the capstone might be if you have a specific graduation date in mind; you need to start the capstone at least 4 months before the target graduation date to qualify.

I tried to enroll in the capstone and they won't accept pending transfer credits. By the time they officially evaluate the credits, it will be too late to get into the February term.

I'm looking forward to doing the capstone too, but apparently we're looking at six months before I finish the capstone. March to June. That's very slow in my book.

If only SNHU, APU, etc didn't need as many residency credits.

Try asking advising. I thought I heard that some folks were able to get registered based on pending credits.

It won't let me register and I have 114 credits towards the degree (pending 3 more already sent).

Seems you have to contact them to register now because of this hold.

I did. She said they needed 99 credits to actually show up on the transcript.

I read bad posts about Saylor CS402 before, but I spent some time on it anyway. It's terrible. I don't feel like I completely wasted the time since I learned things, but I wish I could have that time toward a different exam. Some newer posts about it: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-Saylor-CS402

I think my options to replace this are the networking TECEP or Study.com Systems Analysis and Design (or CSU-G but that costs too much).

I don't think I will be taking Saylor Software Engineering either. I only did the practice exam. I may do a second practice exam before I decide. This had more good questions than their networking exam, but in my opinion, it's not worth doing for most students, only for those with good prior knowledge. The main textbook made a statement about prior knowledge and I think it's meant for people majoring in the field. The main problem is not the book, it's the wording of the exam questions. It reminded me of Shmoop, but even more frustrating I guess. But again, this had some straightforward questions too.

Study.com Systems Analysis and Design will be next and some non-CS courses. I'll try to finish Computer Architecture before going back to OD Intro Programming.

Edit: I was looking at Study.com's Data Structures course, and I'm glad it's Java based.

Edit: The TECEP has three 10 point essays and 70 multiple-choice questions. I'm sick of networking now.

@ideas you should do System analysis and design before you do the Saylor course since the topics are similar. Isnt it LL now?

I was thinking of doing the Saylor course but I dont need another LL CS course.
