My History Degree Template

Just in case someone else is trying to get a History Degree with TESC, this is what they approved for me. A lot of my credit is from the Military so you will need to fill in those gaps with other CLEPs/DSSTs, college courses and military credit. Green is completed, and yellow is still needed. (I think I attached the file correctly)

Why did you choose to take the TESC class War and American Society instead of taking ECE tests, such as World Population and/or World Conflicts since 1900?

Did you do it for the GPA?

Are the ECEs I mentioned valid alternatives to the TESC course you took?

Yes, I took the class because I needed a GPA with TESC, and it was very easy class too. I figured I would take that class and test out of the rest, and that one class is 6 semester hours that I needed to complete the 33 hours required.
I have not checked whether or not the ECE's you mentioned are considered History courses that would satisfy the requirements through TESC. Just shoot them an email at info@TESC.edu

So if I'm reading this right you can take any number of history electives at the 200 or above? If this is accurate I'd like to switch majors!

Anyone know if its possible to change majors at TESC and what the cost would be? I'd far prefer BA in History over the BA in Liberal Studies I'm currently enrolled in.

BA in Social Science and History requires credits at 300/400.

Courses for BA in History can be at the 200 level and above.

I just spoke to TESC and for BA in History this lasts only until July 1st when the rule for 18 UL credits will the same for this degree too.

Clep101, I can't thank you enough for posting this!!! I was able to change my degree major in the nick of time to something I far prefer! I only need to take the Civil War DSST exam now after I finish the class I'm taking at TESC.

Just wanted to say that my degree change from BA in Liberal Studies to BA in History at TESC is now official. I'm scheduled to take my last exam after the 4th of July. Since it's the DSST Civil War & Reconstruction this gives me the perfect excuse to watch again my favorite historical documentary of all time: Ken Burn's The Civil War. Thanks again Clep101!

On Ken Burns' Civil War - absolutely agree!!!!!! Makes me fall in love with learning every time I watch. Think I've seen it about 4 times now, and finally got it on disc when it played on PBS a couple months ago. Brilliant!
