TESU Pilots Free CLEP Prep Program and Waives CLEP Registration
#1
I'm not sure if it has been mentioned before, but TESU will be offering a free CLEP Prep Program for Principles of Macroeconomics and Introductory to Business Law. It's an 8 week course open to both enrolled students and the general public. They will offer the help of a mentor or subject matter expert (SME). The biggest bonus is that they will be waiving the CLEP exam registration fee for a limited time.

I found out about this pilot program in the TESU newsletter that was sent to my home. It said to email CAL@tesu.edu to register or for more info. I did that a few weeks ago and received no response. So I called today and was told that anyone interested should email PLAweb@tesu.edu, instead. I wanted to register for the Business Law course, but was told that only one other person showed interest. So if anyone else out there wants to take a free CLEP and receive free guidance, please email them.

Hi all--

This is Marc at TESU. We had a couple of technical difficulties, but we expect to run these courses in March. There will be a general announcement soon. In the meantime, the CAL@tesu.edu email address is now working--please send inquiries there.

Amazing! I sent an email, this is exactly the kind of program I needed to help get started with CLEP's.

Thank you!

Oohhh - interesting! BA is finally done, but I have to admit that free CLEPS in Business Law is very tempting.

Who else is in this with me?
I went through all the material and just emailed them asking about the waiver code for the cleps.
I can see why it's a pilot, I definitely have some feedback.

I really feel like schools catering to adult learners need to get away from this "8 week" or "12 week" or even semester system nonsense. For me it's totally archaic, we live in a binge society now, I want all the information, all at once, so I can crush it and move on. I was home schooled jr high & high school and was so grateful that my parents allowed me to use this learning style. I wish testing out had been an option back in the mid-90's!

Anyone else in this pilot?

I'm probably too late, but what a good deal Smile

Inkleind, I'm in the Macro course, don't know what course you're in. I agree with you, I was not really looking for something that was 8 weeks long, so I've been skimming through everything as well just to get it done. Have you found the course helpful?

Not really. I would love the curriculum in an easier to use format. Currently it's requiring a lot of downloads and I don't fully appreciate contributing to the forums, it just feels really forced for a test prep course.
