That's what I am afraid of as well. The worst part is I was so close to being done with Aleks when the canceled it.

Not Algebra, but a course I wasn't looking forward to was Statistics. I did it on Study.com and it wasn't horrible.

Aleks lost their accreditation Sept. 1st.
I was originally doing Aleks and didn't know they lost it before I realized it and have been hoping they will get their accreditation back. Does anyone know or heard if they will get their accreditation back and if so, when?
The good news about using ALEKS to learn the material is that you can probably test out, or quickly get through another course. So the knowledge isn't lost.

I agree I am just worried because I need to have an algebra class passed if all possible by the first of the year......with a 72% with a final that is 50% (i think) through SL...there's not much room for error.

just remember, you have to complete Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 to get credit at shmoop

"Students must complete this course and Algebra II (SHMO-0010) to receive the credit recommendation of 3 semester hours in college mathematics in the lower-division baccalaureate degree category (7/16)."

Oh wow, I thought it was only Algebra 1 to receive credit for College Algebra 1. Thank you so much for the insight....looks like it is Study.com if SL final falls through

You can always try the Saylor algebra exam as a cheap, quick "retake" if you just miss the mark... Or as a first try if you think you learned the material well from ALEKS.
