Hello Everyone.
I am just finishing up my Sophia courses and there is a strong chance that I will need to do another month's subscription due to marking times on Touchstones. I will have done every course except for their math offerings.
College Algebra
Foundations of College Algebra
Foundations of Statistics
Introduction to Statistics
It's not that I hate math or something, but I came in with a few Alek's math credits for the following courses.
Beginning Algebra
ACE ID: ALEK-0001
Recommended credits: 3
Business Statistics
ACE ID: ALEK-0008
Recommended credits: 3
College Algebra
ACE ID: ALEK-0003
Recommended credits: 3
Intermediate Algebra
ACE ID: ALEK-0002
Recommended credits: 3
Introduction to Statistics
ACE ID: ALEK-0007
Recommended credits: 3
PreCalculus
ACE ID: ALEK-0005
Recommended credits: 3
I initially thought that it would be silly to do additional math that I felt I had covered already, but now I'm wondering if there would be some advantage that I'm not seeing of using the extra month that I have Sophia to finish English Comp II to hammer out these courses. I'm not wanting to be a glutton for punishment if I don't have to be, I'm just wanting to cover my bases on the off chance that the Aleks courses aren't well regarded. If there is no benefit to me doing the Sophia math courses I will continue on to StraighterLine and SDC for the next leg of my journey.
As always thanks very much for any input!!
Have a terrific day.

What I would do would be to download the PDFs for the math classes but don't bother to actually take them. They'll overlap with the ALEKS credits you already have. But the PDFs can be a good reference for the future.
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA
Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210

@OP, what are you planning to be taking at StraighterLine? I understand the utility of Study.com for some courses, but I don't know what course is not available elsewhere and that you need it from StraighterLine. A Spanish I course? American Government? You can get both at Study.com or InstantCertCredit.

Okay, good to know that I don't actually have any need to redo the courses. Onward bound!! Thank you.

I had a note about Straighterline but then have written InstantCert beside it as I think I can do three there. The courses are American Government, Spanish 1 (good guesses!!) and Chemistry with a lab.
Study.com will be for the actual business and accounting courses that I can take to UMPI. There's a handful by the looks of it.

InstantCert doesn't have Chemistry (with or without a lab) but both SDC and SL have Chemistry and Biology.

If you're going to take some Study.com courses, I would recommend taking the Biology I and/or the Chemistry I course there instead of StraighterLine, the main reason is cost, but it's actually cheaper/easier/faster as the virtual lab is from Labster and just $50 instead of a physical lab kit that has to be sent to you at StraighterLine.

Ooops. I'll amend my notes. Thanks for letting me know.

Thanks for the pro-tip on the course. I'm all about easier! So it looks like only two at Instantcert and then on to study.com!

ALEKS comes in just like the other ACE providers - no need to do those Sophia courses, as they will duplicate what you've already taken, plus the Foundations courses aren't accepted many places. Don't bother.
As for Study.com vs. SL, I would skip SL due to cost. It's just generally more expensive (although many prefer them to Study.com). But if you have a great coupon or something, it's worth giving it a shot if you want. I would not do lab sciences there though - very pricy.

Thanks dfrecore. I'll heed that advice for sure. You have all been very helpful as always!
