Ok, y'all have helped me so much through the years and now I need some new advice!.....I've been job searching for quite sometime, lost in the sea of despair on that front....I was offered a job last week as a certified medical asst., which is what I did for a living years ago....I kept my certification in case I needed it but realize this is not where I want to be.....the $ is terrible (less than when I was in the field 10 years ago), the hours stink and I knew years ago that's not what I wanted to do, not to mention it's hard on the body and I'm 42....so I went back to college....So, here I am...no job and contemplating going back to school again!
I LOVE history and I wrote/published 2 family histories this past year....tried to get business doing genealogy but it's VERY hard to get a client....I live in historic Charleston, SC so was thinking of a Masters in History or Historic Preservation....IDK if it will help me get a job in the field or how I'm gonna afford it but I have to do something! Any suggestions on an online Masters that doesn't cost an arm and a leg? Fast program? Alternate ways to earn graduate credits?? There is a great traditional program here at the Citadel but would rather do a faster program.....
BA, AA General Studies/History from TESC 2011
AS, Liberal Arts from Excelsior 1999
Certified Medical Assistant, 1995-Present
EKG Tech, 1995
CNA, 1994
