Yes, I believe you have to confer before they let you start the MAOL, it's good you're taking the 3-4 classes that transfers into the MAOL.

MAOL Acceptance March 1 for May 10. My BA was conferred May 8. They’re okay with some overlap. I did not have to wait. I did finish my courses about 4 weeks early into Spring 2 term. The only reason I took a second term was because all classes weren’t available yet. They got my grades accelerated and let me start the maol with no real wait.

It seems like they've changed their practices since then. Recently people on the discord have indicated that they had to wait an extra session before they could start MAOL after finishing their bachelor's.

Based on several posts on various social media platforms, it appears that UMPI now makes you wait a full term to begin the MAOL. Might be because of how long it now takes to confer the degrees as there are far more graduates every term nowadays. There's still only 1 person conferring degrees and that's far from all she does.

I guess we'll see what the policy is as if Spring II 2024. I'll be done with my BA & MAOL ladders before the end of March. I'm going to shoot for starting in Summer I and I'll report back either way.
