Looking for UofPeople experiences
#1
Hi all,

I'm starting my capstone at TESU next month, and will graduate in December (knock wood). After the last year and a half of working on the degree, I find that I want to continue studying. The main limiting factor is money, and UofPeople seems like the best choice for me for an MBA in that department. The DEAC accreditation doesn't bother me; living and working in SE Asia, as long as it isn't a degree mill is all that really matters.

So I wanted to ask if anyone had any experience with UofPeople, how thier experience went? Cheers and thanks for all replies!

They are a good school, however; me being someone who wants the best for the cheapest price, it didn't make my list.
There are other schools that are regionally accredited such as Hodges/Patten and WGU that offer very competitive pricing.
For others going for a Bachelors degree, you can add Brandman to that list of competency bachelors degrees.

When I "was" on the NA bandwagon a few years ago, I would have considered them, nowadays, nope...
Since Notgodot is in SEA and also doesn't have a preference, they are a very good alternative for an MBA program...
I would also check Patten for 8 months at $4g flat, you should be able to complete the program in less than that time...

For what it's worth, are any of the NA options significantly cheaper than RA options? I'll gladly consider a second or third degree from a really, really cheap NA school that accepts a few ACE credits + RA coursework.

Patten is a good choice, I agree. However UofPeople's payment setup is just more realistic for me. It's not just the total price tag; it's also when the bills come due, if you see what I mean.

At $2450, UofPeople really is the cheapest I've found. And they do accept RA credits now, though not ACE credits yet.

So it looks like nobody has gone the UofPeople route? I guess WGU is the safer, and faster option for most.

It's a more recommended option. What masters degree are you looking?
