Hello,
I spent some time tracking down deaf accomondations. They are required by ADA law, and sometimes the alternative learning company is blindsided by it. But others do have a pretty good process.
Sophia -- You are required to provide your own translator for when you record yourself. The translator does not need to be on the screen. You must state at the beginning you are using a translator due to HOH/Deafness. They do not offer services to the mute. They offer a text only version of all lessons.
Straighterline -- Requires a doctor's letter, contact via Live Chat. They will set you up with accommodation, and provide translation themselves. They do not offer services to the mute. All of their videos have full transcripts.
Study.com -- They have an accomondation team ready via their regular help desk. They will make alternatives available for instances where you have to record yourself speaking. All of their videos have full transcripts.
Davar Academy -- Only 1 exam requires speaking, on this one they will accept a "Written" speech instead of you needing to record yourself and speaking it. You must contact their support help desk first to request this.
TESU -- They offer Thoughts and Practices TECEP as the altnerative. They require a doctors note.
UMPI -- Full waiver for all oral requirements with a doctor's note.
