My sister is putting together a plan for getting an English major at TESC. I've read lots of discussions about how to meet the Non-western literature requirement, but none of them have mentioned LSU's upper level class English called Literature of the English Bible. Is there any reason this wouldn't count as non-Western literature? The English Bible is middle eastern literature translated into English. Why has no one mentioned this class as a way to fulfill this requirement? Thanks.

No one may have tried it before- I'd clear it with an advisor in advance.

Please let us know what you find out. I will be applying soon to either the English or Humanities program. I took a Poetic Lit of the Bible Class (UL) that I would also like counted. I would like it for an English major; but, I realize that the REL prefix may only work with a humanities major.

TBH, I have a hard time believing anything associated with the Bible could possibly be considered non-Western literature, but stranger things have happened.

I just want TESC to count it as an upper level English credit. I have other plans for the non-western lit class.
