A question about Study.com proctored exam
#1
I have a question about Study.com proctored exam,  can I use the Calculator on my computer and a translation software (since I'm not a native English speaker) while I'm doing the exam? Thanks.

Each Study.com course should provide details on what materials are allowed on the final exam (under the Syllabus tab). Most courses only allow a pencil and scratch paper for notes, etc. With courses that require calculating answers, many will also allow a standard non-graphing calculator. A few will even allow a page of notes or open-book (I'm not aware of any open book exams on Study.com, but several are open book on StraighterLine). Exam allowances vary from course to course so you'll have to look at yours to be sure.

I don't think any provider (or proctor solution) will allow the use of the Calculator app on your computer. And most will probably not allow translation software either. In general, no other apps beyond the proctor software itself are allowed to be used during a proctored exam because the proctor software won't be able to tell that you're not using it to cheat. However, Study.com has been known to work with students to help accommodate special needs, so you should reach out to them to see what the options are, if any. Maybe they have the option to provide the exam in other languages, for example.

Good luck.
