LIB-495 Capstone Written Communication Assessment

I tried to look in the forum history for more information on this new element of the capstone but could not find much..

Anyone here did it and have more info? if it another 10% free? It's written as ETS.

"Depending on your major, you must complete either a Major Field Test or a Written Communication Assessment. Major Field Tests are offered for select majors to evaluate knowledge of material in that major. If you are taking a Major Field Test, you must submit a PDF of your score report in order to receive credit for the course. If your major does not have a Major Field Test, you will instead complete a Written Communication Assessment that will measure specific college-level writing skills. You do not need to study to prepare for these assessments, but they carry weight in the course and must be completed."

The Written Communication Assessment is a 400-800 word long letter based on a single prompt from a predetermined list of writing prompts that will be graded on how well you:

- Adhere to the context and purpose of your letter
- Tailor your letter to its audience (the recipient/s)
- Develop your ideas and convey meaning
- Use the appropriate level of formality
- Use letter-writing conventions
- Organize the content of your letter
- Use clear language that is free of errors (in grammar, usage, punctuation, and spelling)

It's ungraded but assigned a percentage of grade value for course completion.
