Correct, there was a change to the Liberal Arts course earlier, it was changed/modified for 2019a year.
Anyways, you are correct, there is no midterm or final exam. I don't think the previous one Lib Arts capstone had either. Your grade in the course will be determined as follows: Online discussions (5)—20% Written assignments (4)—30% ETS Major Field Test or Written Communication Assessment—10% ETS Proficiency Profile—5% Capstone project (2 parts)—35% Academic research paper—25% Oral presentation—10% Here's the course with the grade info too - Link: https://www2.tesu.edu/syllabus/current/L...B-495.html

I begin LIB-495 in July and I've been thinking about my topic. I must have originally viewed the syllabus for the old version of this course because I thought a project was one of the options (and where I was leaning). Since that no longer seems to be the case, does anyone know if the academic research paper can incorporate a project? It would be a combination creative/applied project. I was actually excited about this and I'll be bummed if it has to be a plain-old research paper!

I just finished the Capstone and did the guided study option (so not sure if it would be different for the non-guided study). The oral presentation was making a powerpoint presentation that was 12-15 slides and recording a 8-10 minute presentation about your topic. I think the name of the program you use is Kaltura and it captures both you speaking through your camera and the powerpoint through recording your screen. |
