There's four courses that TESC offers for the upper level requirements of Computer Science I believe, though you'd have to confirm it.

Artificial Intelligence 3 UL
Computer Architecture 3 UL
Operating Systems 3 UL
Software Engineering 3 UL

By taking these four courses i will be able to complete the degree requirements?

No, but you're needing it looks like 9 UL credits still? If I'm reading the transcript correctly anyways. I don't think there's many ways to get CS UL credit via testing, from what I've searched on the forums myself.

Yeah. Can not really understand how many credit hrs or which courses I need to take in order to complete the program. Also wondering if TESC requires a certain amount of credit hrs to be taken at their institute in order to graduate.

TECEP Networking Technology, DSST Management Information Systems, and DSST Cybersecurity will give you 9 UL credits. You're in need of 15 UL credits. The capstone will cover the last 3 credits for a total of 18 UL credits.

Ermn, He can use IT oriented UL credits for a Comp Sci degree Sanatone? Comp Sci as a major in general usually covers things like Software engineering, Study of Algorithms, A.I, Logic.

Although I just checked again and noticed that under the BA:CS page at TESC they list Computer Information Systems as an elective. So I guess you're right. Odd, I read threads here where people were having trouble finding the UL credits because TESC only offered 9-12 at varying times and they needed one more so they had to go to another school to get the missing credits.

Just a note. I sent an email yesterday to TESC asking if Network Technology TECEP ( CMP - 354) can be used in area of study for BA in Computer Science. This is the reply I got today , " Based on the credit distribution for the BA in Computer Science Network Technology is not listed as a area of study course. Before registering you will want to confirm with an Advisor to ensure you are taking the necessary courses to graduate." ( disclaimer - I am not enrolled student yet). It looks like Networking TECEP as a source of upper credits for area of study in BA in Computer Science is out.

Someone had previously been told they couldn't use the TECEP for a natural science, but that turned out to not be true. I believe the same thing happened with a computer science major.

So I just heard back from an academic adviser from TESC over my credit and courses situation towards completing a BA in CS.

The following is what she replied:

[COLOR="#0000FF"]According to your file you have 27 credits remaining. The breakdown is as follows:

General Education

Section B: Responsibility

Responsible Ethical Leadership

Choose either Contemporary Ethics Humanities (PHI-286) or Ethics and the Business Professional (PHI-384)

Personal & Social Responsibility Elective

Choose one course from this list General Education Courses

Concentration Area

You have 17 credits remaining. You need at least 12 credits in one subject and at least 15 upper-level (300/400) credits.

--

Unfortunately, there aren't any Saylor courses/exams that will apply to your degree.

You can check CLEP or DSST exams.

DANTES

CLEP - College-Level Exam Program

So I was hoping to know if anyone who has completed this degree could tell which classes did they take for UL classes and which CLEPS/DSST can I take to test out off them.
