I still have over 3 months left in my term, though, with a paper and a 5 slide ppt left to do. Looking forward to walking in Feb.
I'm about halfway through the 2nd paper currently. In the meantime, I also received an email saying this:
"Congratulations! Your recent submission for Legal Issues in Information Security has been selected by the WGU Evaluation faculty for recognition due to the exceptional nature of the work you submitted. The evaluator shared the following about your Task 1 submission: The well-written submission provided an exceptional summary of how the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act and the Electronic Communication Privacy Act relate to the criminal activity, described 3 cases/laws that justified the legal action, provided two instances in which duty of due care was lacking, and how SOX applied to the case. The submission properly explained the evidence in the case study that supports claims of alleged criminal activity and negligence in TechFite, who committed the alleged criminal acts and negligence, along with the victims of those acts, and how existing cybersecurity policies and procedures failed to prevent the alleged criminal activity and negligence."
I believe that gave me a little more motivation to finish this class :-D

I'm probably going to reach out, as this would be good fodder for my application at GA Tech. Thanks for the suggestion, Dave :-)

I finally got motivated last night and hammered through the 2nd half of the task 2 paper. Finished the slides in about 20 minutes after I got home from work. The files are submitted. Barring any kickbacks, I'm done!!!
