Hello!
I am from China, and I want to apply for a master's course in Germany, but I don't have a full-time bachelor's degree in China, so I can only apply for pre-courses of undergraduate. Can I use the UMPI yourpace degree to apply master's course in Germany or other European countries?
Thank you.

@rongpeng, Welcome to the board, it's a good introduction post, you're great at asking questions, but you're missing all the important information on the addendum and template, it's best to provide a greater overview of your situation and not just a brief intro without much info for us to help you further. We can help you better plan your degree if you give us more details, link: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...Area-works
Take your time reading posts, threads, and the WIKI, especially links on my signature as they are the 'basics links' people should review.

Broadly speaking: yes. A UMPI degree should work for German Master's degrees. However, this really largely depends on what kind of German degree you want. If you're wanting a degree in Biology, for instance, then the UMPI ones will be no good because the German university will want your Bachelor's degree to be in a similar subject and UMPI doesn't have Biology in its YourPace program. If you want a German degree in Business, UMPI should be fine.

Ok, Thank you, I want to attend the MIS program of Yourpace and then use this degree to apply to coding programs.

兄弟, Slow down, don't rush into things, you want to provide us more info, clear, compact, concise. You might want to think that over. If you have taken your time to review some threads, Rachel83AZ and others have mentioned that for International Students (outside of USA), a BAS/BLS may not be looked at favorably. So, if you're doing the UMPI BLS with a MIS minor, you'll hit road blocks. Link: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...#pid410308
One is, it's not a true IS/IT/MIS degree, it's just a minor and these classes in the minor aren't really MIS classes either. Two, it's a Bachelors of Liberal Studies, it's not a Bachelors of Arts or a Bachelors of Science with a major in MIS, the major is Liberal Studies. To help you better, review my post earlier. Ask questions, provide more of your details, we don't need many, just what is asked for in the addendum and template I linked above.
You can get into a Masters with UMPI, but with a minor in MIS, you can't get into an Masters with a major in MIS, you don't have the prerequisite classes or requirements, you need to have the basics, and all of their entry lists completed before they would admit you into a Masters program, example, you need a degree similar to MIS and more credits in that subject area than a minor would have. Back to the drawing board...

Not sure what you mean by "coding programs", there is quite a range of IT degrees that include coding. Best take it the reverse way - first check which masters do you wish to apply to and what their requirements for admission are, so that you are not negatively surprised in a few years time.
From the top of my head I only remember conditions for IU and FernUni Hagen and IMHO UMPI degree can't be used to study MSc in Informatics degrees there. Informatics at FernUni Hagen requires previous study of informatics, then they also have some kind of applied Informatics degree that is shorter and for that the requirement was not that harsh but still they required a certain number of ECTS from maths and informatics. Best to check first, then decide on which bachelor degree will take you where you wish to study masters.
(It could also differ country by country and school by school, even in Europe, I'm in Europe and some schools in our country require informatics study, others don't but you will have to pass exam, and some also have requirements for certain portion of ECTS degrees from subjects like math.)

Thank you. I have a bachelor's degree in computer in China, but this type of degree is not full-time study, Chinese students need to take APS certification which only accepts four-year full-time undergraduates, So I want to take UPMI BA degree to apply to schools in Germany, I know UMPI accepted by German school, but if I accelerate the course, the transcript only one session and the coding courses as a credit transferred to UMPI, Is this transcript a problem?

To fullfill requirements for previous coding courses, I'm not quite sure whether it will suffice that they will be transcribed on UMPI degree, I would bet that it's possible they might request the transcript from the university in China where you have studied those classes.
If you have bachelors degree already, even if it's not the 4 years type, did you check whether it's acceptable in Germany? In Europe bachelors in many countries is just 3 years.

Yes. I have checked the policy about APS, They only accpet Chinese 4-year degree for apply Masters. It seems UMPI degree dosen't work for me if they need my another Chinese degree. Thank you for your help.

If you need a degree to study Informatics in Germany, TESU's BACS ought to work. It is not as fast as UMPI and it costs more than UMPI, but it is still affordable and faster than 4 years.
