I need more credits!
#1
I'm using the Dual credit program to get my associates degree.  They told me to study for CLEP Humanities, but it's listed as a 6-credit exam on my schedule! What test should I study for to get the other 3 credits? (since ACE lowered the amount of credits for Humanities to 3).

This is impossible to answer without knowing what you've already completed, otherwise we'd just be suggesting duplicate courses. It'd also be helpful to tell us what school you're transferring these too, as that could change things. TESU, for example, still accepts humanities for 6cr.

I've passed: CLEP-Social Sciences & History, College Math, Natural Sciences, American Government, US History I & II, Analyzing and Interpreting Literature, DSST: Human/Cultural Geography, World Religions. I don't know which school I'll send the scores to.

Schools can choose to give more or fewer credits for the CLEP exams, and some schools still give 6cr for that particular exam. BUT, there isn't really another exam you can use to "make up" for the other 3cr if your school only gives you 3cr for it.

Who is telling you to do this exam? Ask THEM if there's another exam you can use instead of Humanities. English Lit, British Lit, A&I Lit? How many credits will they give? Your school(s) are better judges of what you should be doing.

I'm also confused about who "they" are, and I'm confused about the dual credit program you're talking about. Is this a high school student using dual enrollment? It doesn't sound like it, because then they wouldn't have you take CLEP exams.

The people at the Dual Credit program; they have a curriculum and recommend study materials for me as I study.

Usually that would be sponsored through a specific school, no? Is this a dual credit program through a particular school, or is this an unaffiliated third party?

I think I know what he/she is talking about: DualCreditAtHome.com (which definitely is an unaffiliated third party)

It's a homeschool CLEP program.

Also, the tests he mentions taking are the exact list of the ones the people over at DCAH recommend you take. Pretty sure about that Smile
