It's been about 3 weeks now and on their website they said that they received the transcripts from the two colleges that I also have credit with. How long did it take everyone else?

I have been waiting 2 weeks for my official evaluation, all transcripts are already there and were before I did the enroll, I think I waited 3 weeks for my unofficial after they received transcripts. I don't know if this helps or not.

It really all depends on how long it takes for your different institutions to actually get your transcripts TO Excelsior. Assuming they have all your transcripts in-hand, then they say it takes about 4-6 weeks, I believe. For me, it was about 5 weeks total.

for me it was about 7 weeks, for the official review. I was over half done with the courses I was taking with them when I got it.

It took them 4 weeks to give me the unofficial evaluation. I am now waiting for the official one. They told me that this should take 6-8 weeks.
They are still much better than TESC who lost my transcripts from 3 different schools (all of whom say that they sent them).
Excelsior was better at customer service on the phone too. I had a very hard time getting anywhere with TESC on the phone. Even though I had my paperwork congratulating me on my acceptance to the college in my hand, they told me that I was not a student and they had not received my application. (they have since fixed that but still don't have all my transcripts.)
I applied ot TESC and Excelsior at the same time to take advantage of TESC's policy on prior learning assessment/portfolios. I will probably never use that option since they are so out of whach. testing looks like the best option for me.
Hope this helps.

It also depends on the school. The Liberal Arts school takes way longer than the Business school because obviously most Excelsior Students are going up for the Liberal Studies degree.
19 DSST attempted - 54 credits awarded (1 unsuccessful)
11 CLEP attempted - 24 credits awarded (5 unsuccessful)
1 ECE attempted - 3 credits

Excelsior just took 7 weeks to update my eval from all the tests and the online English Comp class I took in June. Grrrrrrrrrr.

20 UL Credits to go (7 tests)
BS Liberal Studies

Has been five weeks since they got the last transcript. Glad to see it's not just me, but unhappy that it's taking so long. I asked my admissions counselor (nice person, but utterly useless and quite stupid) for an email so that I could send it all laid out nicely for the reviewer and she said that it's a team rather than an individual. I don't actually believe her, but that would explain the agonizingly slow process.
CLEPS PASSED:
CLEP Analyzing & Interpreting Lit - 50 (hey, it's a pass)
CLEP Biology - 50
ALEKS Math x3
ALEKS Statistics x2 (HARD!)
NFA Q118 (you have to love free classes)

The admission counselors are generally uninformed, their knowledge is basic, and usually can be found on the school website. Are you waiting on your preliminary review
or official evaluation? My official took about 3-4 weeks. However, the admissions counselor is correct, their is actually an entire team that examines credits, than a specific individual. This is also the case when you confer your degree. The longest part for me was the evaluation, after that if I had transcripts that needed to be sent in after my evaluation they were added to my file in about 2 or 3 days. Excelsior also is a little slower with getting things done around the end/beginning of a term.
