Many members on here are in their 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, and yes over 60. Get this thing knocked out in a year or two, and you're on top of the game! Most folks don't have a college degree and most people who start college don't finish. You'll have one and at a younger age too if you stay the course!

Hi and welcome to the forum!
I'm a 17 year old, homeschool graduate...I graduated this past May, with 60 credits. I started CLEPing when I was 15...my sister is 14 and she has 24 credits! It is so exciting to start on the journey of CLEPing! I second the opinion to start with something they are interested in...Analyzing and Interpreting Lit. (CLEP) and Intro to World Religions (DSST), were two "easier" ones, for me. Again, "easy" is relative, depending on your likes. In my case, I would rather study history, than business. Also, I got the math ones out of the way, as quickly as possible, so I wouldn't forget them. Just something to consider, when planning ahead... I know it can seem overwhelming, at the beginning, but it is so rewarding! Many prayers as your family starts this journey! Welcome aboard!!!
Many blessings!

Great advice on this thread. I love to see homeschoolers' success stories with CLEP! I was homeschooled a hundred years ago (ok, not quite) and even though I'm told CLEP existed, I'd never heard of it; plus we didn't have the internet or boards like this one to support us. I'm currently going the CLEP route with my homeschooled children (as well as myself!). My daughter took the A&I Lit practice tests when she was 11 and passed. At the end of this current course we're working on she's planning on taking the real CLEP. Even though I'm confident she could pass it now, I want her to finish the course first. There's always more she can learn at the age of 12
