History Upper Level Credits (Please help!)
#11
Whats the 6 credit TESC course cost?

To me history courses are easy, I test well in it, enjoy writing about it. If the cost is the same I would choose a U of Idaho or other self paced option....I like driving the completion not being enslaved to someone else's time frame....but that's just me.

I'm always happy to complete the free application waiver for those applying to WGU (I get a free gift from WGU for this).  Just PM me your first/last name and a valid email so I can complete their form.

How long does it take to finish the courses?

How long does it take to finish the courses?

I believe they state a minimum of either 6 or 12 weeks, practically speaking though once you work through the syllabus and complete the tests your done.

CSU- Pueblo stated the same rules...but you could finish as fast as feedback came from the professors.

I'm taking War and American Society and I love it. I used it to replace World Conflicts which I was having a hard time with. I started in May.

Rechtschaffen is probably your best bet as far as cost goes, but check with TESC first before you sign up for any of their history courses there. There shouldn't be a problem but no one here has taken advantage of this option yet.

Another option you might consider is one I did back in 2010 when I finished my BA in History through TESC: since you're taking DSST Intro to the Modern Middle East exam, sign up for HIS310 The Middle East through TESC. That course covers virtually the same material as the DSST so if you do well in one you should ace the other very easily, or at least that was my experience. Of course back then there wasn't a capstone requirement so I took that course to also ensure I had a GPA at TESC.

Hey, Westerner, how was World Conflicts? I found it so confusing to study for, no real direction...
