I just used the advice on the thread, and did not use IC on this test. I finished the test in 40 minutes and got an A. So, if you have studied the items in the thread, and the IC notes, I think you should be fine.
What I do is copy the InstantCert question text that I am not sure about into a notepad file, and print it out. This allows me to review it multiple times, even while in the parking lot prior to the test.
Like many of the other tests, you will usually find answers that belong with another question. Use the process of elimination to get yourself down to the best two answers if you don't know the answer.

The passing score for this test is 46. I scored a 55. All I used for this test was the I/C study guide and the notes that Ali4nia posted at the begining of this thread. I read through them maybe 3 times. That was sufficient enough to get a passing score.
Now, having said that, make sure you read the questions carefully. I found many questions on this exam that can lead you to a wrong answer if you do not read them carefully. Also, do not spend to much time on questions you are unsure of. Mark them and come back to them later. Sometimes you wil find your answers in later questions or you will see something that will jog your memory.
If you buy into the whole "Owl Bore" argument then the majority of this test is for you. hilarious

Hi everyone. I am taking this test tomorrow and I have a question.
1) I have studied using the Ace the Clep study guide as well as IC and they both have very different information.
Ace the clep doesn't have as much info as IC. If I know Ace the Clep better than IC will I pass?

Maybe. I'd read through the IC cards 2 more times, though.
This is not that hard of a test, especially if you have kept current with many of the issues in the news over the years, but why not be sure. A quick brush up will make the difference.
I have learned to stick with IC and REA books, and the Specific Exam Forum comments from IC members is usually what makes the difference. Just my 2 cents.

I have never used an Ace the CLEP book, but I have passed many test with IC flashcards and specific exam feedback. I think you will probably pass if you are familiar with the important terms and ideas, I just think you would be more sure of that with more IC study.

How did you pass this exam? did you use anything else besides IC?
