bjcheung77 often recommends exactly that: apply for a Bachelor's degree, ask to add Associate degree, then just... forget it. Your Associate degree will be filled automatically as you complete your Bachelor's degree. There is no need to do anything else except maybe double-check prior to graduation that everything has been filled in by UMPI.

Yes, that's right, if you've read through a few of my threads... the AALS at UMPI is completed when you finish your Bachelors at UMPI, you just need to add it as a second program and forget it. When graduation comes, you graduate both at the same time, the residency requirements already are met when you complete the BA, BABA or BAS/BLS degree from them.

Will I be able to meet the associate degree requirement if I use a master's degree that has been downgraded to a U.S. Bachelor's degree by an NACES member to avoid the GEC requirement for UMPI? Do I still need to complete the required courses for an associate degree at sophia?

If you have a degree that has been evaluated as a Bachelor's degree, UMPI will waive your GEC requirements and electives. All you'll have left are the courses in the major itself.

in addition, if I learn BLS in Accouting, I would like to learn some BUS courses that are not in BLS but in BABA in Accounting, such as business law, and transfer from sophia. In this case, will the names of these courses appear on the transcript?

Yes. Although a maximum of 90 credits will apply to your actual degree, you can transfer in an unlimited number of credits and the excess ones will appear on the transcript.
But why not just go for the BABA Accounting?

Most of your gen ed/elective requirements should be complete when you transfer your current credentials into UMPI, the major is what would be left to complete at UMPI. Sophia.org is not a degree granting institution, they're an alternative educational course provider, there are no degree options with them, their courses are used for transfer into UMPI and other institutions...

You can complete a BLS with a minor of your choice, as suggested, you may want to take a look at other options such as the BA Accounting, BABA Accounting, or any other major/concentration that may fit better. The BLS with allow the max transfer of 90 credits if you're looking for an easy degree, if you're going for a Masters, this would do well. If you're not going for a Masters later, it's better to have a BA or BABA...

Guys, I saw these three classes on saylor.org: BUS105: Managerial Accounting, BUS206: Management Information Systems, and BUS300: Operations Management. Can I transfer them to umpi and replace the corresponding courses? Although these three courses can be taken at study.com, study is too expensive for me.

For Sophia.org classes, here's the screenshot I took... For Saylor.org, I quickly followed the instructions and was able to see they accepted them in the past, not the exact classes you've mentioned, but because they've taken Saylor.org and because these are ACE recommended for credit, I would say - go for it! If your score is high enough, yes they transfer to UMPI.
