Thanks Sunshine! I scored a 68! I'm excited but I have to keep focused and I had another curve ball thrown my way. I need the ECE Cultural Diversity test and Pearson now has my info so I can schedule. I can either schedule TOMORROW or in about a month. I am ticked off right now because now I have a major decision. Can I realistically take this test at 1:30pm tomorrow with studying tonight and a little tomorrow or do I wait a full month which will get me WAY too close to TESC's April 1st date. I looked at the feedback for this exam and it doesn't seem too difficult but if I fail it I will not graduate in June because this course is a requirement for my degree. :willynilly: :willynilly: :willynilly: :willynilly:

Congrats! Great score. I'm sure you've thought of this already, but is there another testing center nearby? Or maybe they can get you on a cancellation list of some kind.

Oh by the way I hate you, you beat my Environment & humanity score by 1 point:p
But I do not think a month from now is really that close to the deadline, that still gives a full month, and the transcript just has to get to TESC it doesn't need to be posted by them. If you are not ready this could derail your whole plan. I think looking for another test site with a better availability is also a great idea. Even if you have to drive a little further isn't it worth the week or two of study you could gain. Of course only you can decide if you are ready to take the test tomorrow. If you have been studying for this and you feel ready then maybe it is worth it to get it over with. What ever you decide best of luck, my break is over back to the books.

Thanks for the advice guys! I've looked at 5 testing centers and they are all around the same. Looking over the notes provided in the feedback section makes it appear as though this test is common sense except for court cases or specific facts about other races, classes, ethnic groups, etc. such as What US city has the largest Muslim Population. I can handle the hard facts questions easy but my issue is with these broad definitions. I have 20 minutes to click or not click the appointment and to be honest I may pull the trigger and try it. Cultural Diversity seems like a very straight forward type of test with a whole lot of common sense answers. Hmmm....:ack:

Well sometimes luck smiles on you when you are down. I was really unsure of taking the test tomorrow so I watched the clock tick down to 7pm. I was told on the phone that 7pm was the cutoff date for scheduling for next day testing. To my surprise I could still register so that info was false. As I sat there watching the screen going back and forth from studying to the Pearson screen I said oh well it's tomorrow or never for me.
As I was trying to sign up the page had apparently timed out so I had to log back in and go through the motions of picking a test center, etc. Well as I clicked on the test center near my house I saw a SATURDAY 2pm opening! I feel confident in getting ready for that time. I am taking off of work tomorrow (I know again!) and getting this over with on Saturday. This will be my second to last test because I will still have Penn Foster left. I just feel relieved because it gives me a full day of studying. Wish me luck! :hurray:

I received a "B" on the ECE test! It was the roughest one I've taken so far simply because of preperation time (one day) and subject matter. It is not as common sense oriented as it would appear. If I didn't have the IC specific exam feedback and the internet this test would be very difficult. It's essentially a Sociology exam with a very broad cultural diversity topic area.
All I have left is my Penn Foster Terrorism final which should be here on Tuesday! I'm going to overnight it back to PF for grading then pay them to overnight the results to TESC. I know it may be overkill but I want to make sure TESC has every single transcipt well in advance of April 1. So this means that all of my transcripts should be in no later than the second week of February. Any idea on when I should apply for graduation? I'm so relieved and excited! :hurray: Oh and this makes 33 credit hours in 1 month almost to the day! My mind is mush and I have the LSAT next Saturday! :hurray:

soupbone Wrote:I received a "B" on the ECE test! WhoooooHOOOOOOOO Congratulations Soup!!!!! cheersmate :hurray: I would apply for graduation as soon as you see the last transcript has been received by TESC. Whatever credits have not yet officially posted to degree audit at that time you note on the form (there is a space for it) so they will know to look out for those transcripts or apply them asap. Once you fax over your form, you can either call or send advising an email to let them know the final transcript has been received and request expedited review. You will see a much faster turn around time. Thank you for sharing your adventures with us, it's been exciting and quite impressive!!! ...3 credits and counting!!:hurray: "Setting a goal is not the main thing. :iagree: with all of the above congrats and advice.
You are an inspiration, if you can do all those test/credits in 1 month I should be able to do 26 credits in 5 months. (Of course having a family that thinks crisis should happen every day, doesn't help) With everything done by the end of this week I can't see how you could miss the April 1st deadline. Take that test this week and then give yourself next weekend off to do nothing that you don't want to do.
