Help! Need test-out roadmap for Crim Justice!
#1
OK, I am contemplating getting a degree I might like (as some crazy people here sometimes suggest, LOL) rather than the Lib Studies which is easier or Business which is practical but makes me gag. As a younger man, I always wanted to study Crim Just or Criminology. It won't help my resume much but all I need is the 4 yr paper. In fact, it might help me look "more well rounded" which has always worked in my favor. I have approx. 80 credits currently so it's really degree specific stuff that I will need.

So I would be truly appreciative if anyone could share a roadmap or ideas for testing out of CJ requirements at EC or TESC. My current L.S. plan is all test out.

Thanks to all and best!
Mike

not sure if this is something you'd be interested in....

I go to Penn Foster for Criminal Justice, I am in the 3rd semester. I have 30 ACE approved courses through them, and once I'm done with this semester, I will have 48, and once I graduate I will have 66. The program is 71 credits total, so only 5 credits from the A.S. aren't ACE approved.

Penn Foster is nationally accredited, so if you were to enroll in say their Early Childhood Program, you would have a hard time transferring to a regionally accredited school because NONE of the EC classes are ACE approved.

Fortunately for us students who are pursuing a degree like Criminal Justice, MOST of the courses you would take in the Penn Foster Associates degree program are ACE approved. I will be able to transfer these credits to Excelsior or TESC no problem, verified probably 50 times by now heh.

So, you could definitely do a lot of testing out, but PF is reaaaallllly simple as far as signing up, books are included (which are all current, once you're done with the class you can resell them on amazon, lowering the total cost of your credits significantly) it's easy to submit lessons, anyone who has a degree can be your proctor....

Ummm so yeah, i really love my school and I actually see a regionally accredited degree in my future....I would definitely look into it.....it's really not that much more expensive than testing out either Smile
BA in Social Sciences from TESC complete!! Looking into online grad schools :coolgleam:

I know nothing about CJ, but in case you haven't seen this, here's the link to the publications page for EC. They'll spell out the requirements for the major, then you can begin to get an idea of which exams could work. Looks like there are five major track choices for CJ.
