Help!! I am sinking in excuses not to study

Linda, that is so true. That is what my dad's passing has done for me even more. I am at the point now where days are flying by, I am now in that category and I have to be honest, it stinks. As for your son, I hated school, couldn't wait to get out. I wanted to be a sprinkler fitter doing fire protection back in the day. I loved that work but the economy in upstate NY then was bad, actually it was bad in a lot of places in the 80's. So, the Navy called. I believe the days of dropping out of school and working w/your hands are gone for the most part. Most trades finish jobs much quicker, they do much more w/much less now. My feeling is you need licenses, certifications or the paper to position yourself more than ever before. Of course, connections can work wonders. The good news is your kids are still young and eventually they will come to realize the need for something more. Trust me, I don't take my life for granted now, I spend as much quality time w/my kids as I can. That is what is really getting under my skin w/this course. It has taken control of my schedule, my only breaks really are quick posts on here. I'm just delaying the misery now. BTW, today would've been my dads B-day. No degree for him, Union sprinkler fitter, jack of all trades. Happy Birthday, Dad!
