1. Your economics degree can help to lower the cost of a math degree, yes. Not necessarily by a lot, however.
2. TESU is currently the cheapest way to get an online math degree. They are NOT a cheap way to get a Master's degree.
3. Costs can vary a lot. Even with a Bachelor's degree, a math degree can be especially expensive. You can see which courses are required for a TESU Math degree here: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Sa...egree_Plan From that, you can calculate approximate costs. But you also have to add in TESU the cost of tuition. With a prior Bachelor's degree, you only HAVE to take 3 credits from TESU. This would be $1797 tuition + $3192 residency waiver = $4989.
In progress:

There are lots of schools offering online Math degrees. Some of them are cheaper than others. Sometimes cost is not the most important factor

The "annual tuition" doesn't tell even half the story. It makes some schools look more expensive than they are to members of this forum. For instance, both TESU and SNHU are on that list. But they also both accept ACE credits, which can significantly lower how much you have to pay.

친구, Good for you to get an Economics degree and now wanting a Math degree...
What happened to "Computer Science"? Did that option go bye bye?
Are you looking to take your time with a Bachelors then go to Masters?
Or do you want to get a Masters in Math by skipping the Bachelors?

You're absolutely right. I don't think anyone should trust the numbers that appear in articles like this. I only wanted to illustrate the idea that the op has many options. I don't know where they are living but there are also a large set on non-US schools where one could earn a Math degree online.

Already having the Bachelor of Japanese Lit means you will have a lot of the basic things covered. I will preempt bjchueng77 and say that you really need to fill out the template and last post addendum so they can evaluate this better.

Your prior degree will need to be evaluated in order to "count". But it should count. A Computer Science degree from TESU should, ultimately, be fastest and cheapest for you. But please fill out the addendum so we can help you better.
