Help!

I just found out I'm 2 credits short on graduating and that I need to take another CLEP...within the next 2 weeks!! My dean told me to try the Analyzing and Interpreting Literature CLEP but I'm not good with English and I hate reading... Where can I find literary terms to study from?
I want to try Peterson's but ever since my bad luck with it on Biology I'm too scared to even look at it...
Also, for this CLEP do I need to know a lot of vocabulary? English is not my first language and I really don't know what to do...

There's not much to study for the A&I Lit. Either you know it or you don't. If you've read a lot of books (in English) it's not too bad. Although you mention that English isn't your first language which could be an issue. You could try a Peterson's practice test to gauge how well you might do.

Plus, it's worth 6 credits and you only need 2. There are some other "easy" 3 credit Cleps. Does it need to be in any particular subject? What is your first language?

I can take any CLEP I want...I don't want to study because I need to take intro to psych by May 23rd and I want to study for that...

If you can take any clep it would probably be easier to add on a second psychology exam. What about human growth and development or intro to educational psychology? You are then only building on the same material.

Another option if you can take a dantes exam? tech writing was pretty easy. If you search there is a link to an online study site on the forum. Just browse the items mentioned in specific feedback and take the exam.

**Oh, I just noticed you've also taken intro to sociology. What about history and or economics courses? If you've taken history and or economics courses you might also consider the social science and history clep.

I am not good with American History... I took the second one and failed.
I heard from some people that intro to educational psych and intro to psych don't overlap...is that true?

Does it have to be a CLEP? The Intro to Law Enforcement DSST was one of the easiest tests I've taken. Yes you would have to study, but IC more than covers it and if you have ever watched a police drama or reality show, you'll likely find it very interesting. I didn't spend more than a few hours overall preparing and did well enough to get an A grade at COSC.

Some people find the marketing CLEP very easy. I didn't really care for it, but it also doesn't require a lot of study. There's also the Supervision or Management tests.. they're simple. LOL boring but doable with short notice.

Check out the "easiest test" thread and also you can look at the free-clep-prep.com CLEP difficulty list. The list is obviously subjective and will vary slightly depending on your specific interests, but is a good starting place.

If you don't like English, you may not like A&I lit. You can take the practice test and see how you score. Or, better yet, if you can find something else that interests you more and will work, go for that instead.

I don't know what your financial situation is, but you could take A&I Lit very soon, and if you don't pass, schedule one of the other tests being suggested. I really think you will pass it though. You can google literary terms and read them over. I had one definitely on my test, maybe two or three that didn't stick out in my mind. The one I remember only because it was something I had never heard of until reading the literary terms the day before the test.
I think that if you like to read, and have good comprehension, and can translate well in your head, your native language is not a deterrent. Taking a Peterson's practice test will show you exactly what this test is like.

My suggestion is A&I Lit. Many people on here who hate reading and are not generally good at it have still squeaked by with a passing score. If you decide to take the test PM me for my bookmarked sites (I'm on a school comp right now) Take the free Peterson's test, and if you get a 50+ you should be alright (I have a vague recollection that this peterson's was significantly harder than the actual test).

Otherwise, something that builds on your others, like Educational Psych would be a good option.

Yes it has to be CLEP...my college doesn't accept Dantes.
I don't have too much time to study...I would have taken natural sciences after Bio if I would've known but now the bio is out of my head.
I looked over the "easiest test" thread and I don't have any background knowledge with any of them.
I think I should first take a Peterson's and then take it from there...I'm just too scared to try Peterson's because when I was doing Bio I got in the 30'a and 40's on the Peterson's and a 54 on the real exam so I'm scared if I take Peterson's now, I'll do bad and it'll make me more scared...

My problem is that I absolutely HATE reading. I don't remember the last time I read a book...not for college or high school...I don't understand what I read...but I did get a 90 on the English regent last year, I don't know how I did that...
