I am looking to take this class as soon as I can, so I can't wait for Study.com to possibly get accredited. Did anyone take this class? How was it?
Did you take HIST500: Historical Research Methods or HIST300 Research Methods in History?
Thank-you in advance!

Also interested in this answer! Looking into this option, although I'm probably going to end up taking it at TESU personally.

I was going to do that but I'm tempted to take it at AMU because it's cheaper.

I think it's shorter at AMU as well - 8 weeks instead of 12. So it probably depends on whether you can keep up with the accelerated pace.

I was going to do that but I'm tempted to take it at AMU because it's cheaper. Yeah that was my thinking but in my personal situation I'm actually going to end up taking enough classes at TESU (because I need to rack up enough graded credits for the grad school program I want to attend) that I'll actually end up with BARELY enough TESU credits to avoid the residency waiver, so for me it'll be cheaper to do TESU.
Hope the AMU class works out well for you, if you go that route!

Makes sense! Good luck with taking it at TESU and I'm glad you'll avoid the residency waiver.
Real quick, if I take the class at AMU, does that mean I'll only get Credit, not a grade? That's actually not a problem for me, almost all of my credits are graded. I would actually prefer if it was only credit.

You will get a grade for it. You will then have a GPA at that school. TESU will calculate in your grade as to whether or not you have a 2.0 to be able to be enrolled there, but they will not use that grade to calculate their own GPA (which only includes actual courses taken at TESU).

Three of them are "set" because I can't take them through alt-credits (Social Theory, which is necessary for my Sociology major, and Historical Methods which is necessary for my history major, and obviously the Capstone), and two of them can be anything as long as it gets a grade, so I'll see what I end up needing/where my plan goes wrong. Even though TESU is a lot more expensive than the CC where I'm taking most of my graded credits, it works out a little cheaper overall if I take 16 TESU credits (the minimum to meet the residency requirement) instead of 10 (the minimum to get my degree with the two areas of study) plus more at the CC.
