I think the Accounting Exam is too big a subject to grasp just with IC. That's my personal opinion. I mean...you really have to be looking at balance sheets, income statements, how different entries fit & how they all work together. Here's a great site that I used along with IC for the Acct. CLEP:

My impression is that it boils down to whether you understand everything in our materials or not. Plenty of people have passed using solely InstantCert, however, if you're going through the materials and our explanations don't make sense to you, then you're going to have to use supplemental materials.

I think Steve's note kinda sums it up. If you have an understanding of accounting principles already...it probably is possible to simply use IC. However, for one like myself....I think I have always know the 'why' behind principles, etc. So, sometimes the IC explanations weren't quite enough for me to feel comfortable. It's quite possible that I'm just a paranoid freak.
