I know this is probably a silly question, but has anyone ever taken BUS 101 @ UMPI instead of transferring it in via Sophia? I ask because some of the 100 level courses at UMPI have incredibly heavy workloads. I'm looking for a single course to hit the 30 credit residency requirement and looking for the easiest/lightest workload course I can find.

I did, but its already a long time ago so I rather forgot how it went.
Below a review from user grogers14 more or less the same as I was.
Name: BUS101 Introduction to Business
Subject: Business
Semester/Term: Summer 2 2023
Instructor: Humphrey
Long or Short?: Medium
Number of Outcomes: 6
Adaptive Outcomes?: Yes
Number of Milestone Activities: 6
Type of Milestone Activities: Short response, no word count or formatting requirements. Some of mine were like 200 words and the Prof. Affirmed them.
Type of Final Assessment: 97 Question MC Exam
Notes & Overall Thoughts: Use the adaptives to study . When you miss a question , it tells you what the correct answer is and why, so I would recommend intentionally missing some so you can focus on what to study for the final . The final is almost 100% the same questions as the adaptives. 6 Outcomes , but some of the outcomes are really brief so I called this class medium.

This was on Strut. I also took it on Strut after transferring it from Sophia. I used it as part of my 10-course residency requirement because it was a very easy course. The hardest part was waiting for milestones to be affirmed.

I thought somebody reported taking it on Brightspace, but I can't seem to find the reference. Hopefully it's still easy on Brightspace, but if not, you can always withdraw if the final looks like too much work and you find an easier course to take instead.

You may want to review some other classes or threads and also speak with your academic advisor indicating you're looking for an easier option from what they currently offer. If it's an elective, it doesn't have to be in Business, you can take a History or Political Science class, maybe anything that is offered on the Your Pace platform.
