Hi everyone, i am ready to get my Masters degree now and i was thinking of WGU MSML. Then i found Walden university, but i saw a lot of negative reviews online about the school. I was wondering if anyone here has had any experience taking classes with Walden (especially any management classes) and how was your experience. In terms of speed of completion of program, how is it compared to WGU? Do they have proctored exams or just papers/projects or both?
Your input and help will be very much appreciated.
Thanks

Basically, stick to the thoughts of attending WGU for their MSML, it's a better option than Walden if you had to decide one or the other. WGU is non-profit, Walden is for-profit and does have a reputation of delays for everything, even after being purchased and continuous improvement... If you want to read some reviews, a few of our members have graduated from Walden for their Tempo programs such as in Education, Psych, or in the process of their degrees, etc. I would focus to see what type of degree you're looking for, if it's the WGU MSML, you might want to consider the UMPI MAOL, or the HAU MBA if you're not in a rush to complete the degree.

Thanks for the reply and info, very much appreciated. I was sticking strongly to WGU MSML until i discovered they had about 4 OAs to be taken. I am much of a paper/project person and really do not like OAs. that was why Walden seemed more favorable. I am also interested in finishing my Masters program ASAP under 6 months or by 6 months.

I am in the tempo MBA program right now. I took a long break for awhile and also did some transfer classes. Walden is VERY reading heavy in the tempo program, and it seems like it's acquired even more reading assignments than I recall the first time. I found what I think is going to be a helpful work around within the past week. If you start the program I want information about that DM me . Also, my current project is more time intensive that the other courses, requiring both a full paper and a slideshow... where as the other courses it has been one or the other but not both.
MBA, Walden University (In progress - 60% done)

How's your MBA going now? I'm trying to narrow down my online MBA options before TESU confers my degree.

AS Biology (TESU)
Current Program:
Google Project Management: Professional Certificate (Coursera)

I think Eastern University is currently at the top of my list due to price point, the quick half hour drive away if I want to go on campus, and their advanced standing policy that would allow me to replace a few classes with a degree focus like healthcare admin.
WGU is also tempting for the price point and the massive amount of online resources, but I don't want to rush through the material in order to finish in a semester.

*ding ding* WGU MBA/MSML would best your best bet to ladder your TESU degree, the main reason is because TESU is the cheapest undergrad ACBSP program, WGU is the cheapest for Masters ACBSP programs. You've got your one/two combo right there...
