The overall 6-year graduation rate for first-time, full-time undergraduate students who began seeking a bachelor’s degree at 4-year degree-granting institutions was 63 percent in 2019. (37% dropout rate)

So I wondered what the 6yr graduation rate is for Degreeforum members who transfer in around 75% or more credits after starting their first term at one of the colleges we suggest?

I'd like to think it was high, but since most of the people here already dropped out at least once, I have to think it's probably pretty low.

First we would need to estimate how many members have actually complete 75% or more credits. Then how many apply and enroll. These are all different statistics.

A lot of people have graduated from Pierpont. Does that count?
For those who have built up the 75%+ credits and enrolled, I would guess the percentage is very high.

There may be a different graduation rate according to which school they attend.
For example, I have seen reports of people starting WGU and then quitting. They may move to a different school or quit altogether.
For UMPI it seems that most people that start there finish there as well.

The government stats only use first time students. Transfer students are excluded. I never understood why transfer students are excluded or at least not included with an * or notation.
Someone asked about Pierpont. The stats presented are for bachelor's degrees. The government doesn't track community college stats the same as bachelor's degrees. It's all about the bachelor's degree.

I always send people to DF if they think they cannot afford college or if they dropped out. There is better support here than what any of the colleges I went to had! Plus, it feels like our own cohort. With that said, I think graduation rates among DF members are probably higher than most colleges.

I'd say probably around 50-60%. This forum is full of people starting and stopping year after year. Eventually they get there, but, most aren't there yet.

Basically, It's really hard to say as there is no real way to calculate these numbers... We have members who have posted 1 time saying "I'm Done!" and that's all they post... others may have commitments and will take some time to complete the degrees, so the numbers don't really represent a solid view of the numbers or %.

I think an interesting question would be what was your degree in and what are you doing with it. How much was alt credit ? How has it helped your situation?
