Gardner-Webb University: 10-12 month online MBA?
#1
Hello,

Have never posted on here before. Just seeing if anyone might have any knowledge or experience with this online MBA program because haven't been able to find a lot as far as reviews or feedback so far.

I believe this is some of the information:

Gardner-Webb University:
10-12 month online MBA.
Founded in 1905 in N.C.
Classes every 8 weeks.
Cost per credit hour is $665
30 credit hours.
ACBSP accredited MBA

Perhaps similiar to Eastern University online MBA.

Just seeing if anyone might have any thoughts on this school.
Feel free to correct me if I am mistaken about something. Thanks

They're pricier than the options that folks generally mention on here. Here's a thread where those options with similar time frames were mentioned:

At $665 per credit, I'd look elsewhere unless someone else is paying the tuition. Plenty of options for much less. Amberton is only $300 per credit and there are like 6 options available to focus your MBA on. The program is also ACBSP accredited along with Amberton being an RA university.

Thanks. Just trying to consider as many options as possible. Wondered if there was something special worth knowing about Gardner Webb. I guess could always just go linkedin to look for alumni to question about the program if really wanted to.

Ok. It probably is a fine program.

There are at least 100 online MBA programs in the United States that cost the same as the Gardner Webb program or less. There are dozens that offer the same business-school accreditation (ACBSP) and there are dozens that that offer accreditation by the premier accreditor of business schools, ASCSB for the same or less cost.

If you happen to be from NC and want a degree from an in-state school, there a number of state universities that offer cheaper MBAs online than Gardner Webb.

Gardner Webb also only offers a general MBA online. There, again, dozens of universities that offer MBAs with concentrations (accounting, finance, marketing, etc) for the same price or less and comparable or better accreditation.

Most people active on this board tend to prioritize (graduate) degrees that are especially cheap, fast, allow for considerable transfer credit, or in some other way stand out from other degree options. It’s not a bad thing, but the Gardner Webb online MBA seems like a very typical degree, of which there are dozens if not hundreds in the US. And that is without even considering the board’s other particular interest—foreign degrees!

Having said all that: If you like the Gardner Webb program, like the university, get a discount there, want to go to a Baptist university, or whatever, and want to get your MBA there, then good for you, truly.
