Okay, so I'm all signed up to take my first test this past Saturday on Principles of Supervision. I get to the testing center early and I am ready to go.
We go through the process of signing in and when the proctor has to sign in their information, the guy does not know the correct user name and password. At this point he tries to contact someone with the testing people that issue the passwords, but the people who typically work on that apparently do not work on weekends. After waiting for over an hour, I left and asked him o call if he figured it out. I call back 3 hours later and the guy says that he can't figure it out and I would not be able to take the test. I was furious. I have read some other post about other problems that occured on Saturday, so I am trying not to take it personally...
I am going to try to take the test tomorrow (Monday)...we'll see how that goes...I hope this is not an omen of some sort preparing me for failure...

That's a bummer! When I went to take my computerized DSST tests, the proctor said they were having some difficulty where you had to occasionally hit the reload button for the screen and sign back in. She said if it bothered me, I could reschedule my test. Heck no! I wanted them out of the way that day. I can't imagine how I would have felt if I'd had to wait another day or week. It must have been very frustrating for you.
Good luck today!

I was in the middle of taking a DSST last month when after I answered one of the questions and clicked "next" I received the message "The application is currently undergoing maintenance. Sorry for any inconvenience. Please try later." I was like what the hell? I wasn't super worried about the clock because I usually finish in half the time but I didn't want to fail because I had only gone through about half the test and couldn't keep going. I finally got someone and we closed the windows and started from the beginning and it let me sign back in and continue my test only losing about 10-15 mins and I still finished with time to spare but I was certainly rattled.
I guess that would be one of the few advantages of paper and pencil: No technical errors unless your pencil breaks.
