(This post was last modified: 06-26-2011, 04:06 PM by STG.)
My bio professor scheduled 2 bio exams tomorrow... One is on 6 lecture chapters (mitosis, meiosis, genetics, photosynthesis etc.)that she taught in 2 days!! and the other is the lab practical on everything we learned throughout the semester. I really can't cram all this information into my head and I don't know what to do banghead
I have so many questions and none of my friends can help me cuz they're all busy...
I made a review sheet last Thursday for everything I'm responsible for the lab practical and I handed a copy out to the whole class so it'll be easier for them but everyone's still too busy
She's even testing us on the emergency stuff she taught us the 1st day of class like what to do when chemicals get on your hand and where to dispose the chemicals....why is she testing us on this on the last day of class?? Those stuff aren't hard but it adds up cuz we have so many other things we're responsible for the lab practical. I'm so annoyed! My grade so far is an A but if I lose more than 21 points altogether on tomorrow's test, I can't get an A :ack:
This teacher really gets on my nerves...even though tomorrow is the last day of class, she said according to state rules, she needs to continue teaching even though we're not being tested on it. Other teachers would let us go home after the exam but not only is she making us stay, she's making us have a long break in between the tests and the teaching because again, according to state rules she needs to teach a certain amount of hours throughout the semester. Usually class runs from 9 to 4:45 but now we'll be finished our tests at around 11 and we have a long break until she starts teaching at 3!

Hi Purpleteen,
Am I misunderstanding something here...it's sounds like final which is usually given on the last day of class. The midterm covers the first half of the course and the final will cover the whole course. This is why grades range from A-F. Most do well during the course and not so well on the final. If you hold an A average and get a D or flunk the final, you can still walk away with a B/B-. The law of averages actually works to the students benefit. Good luck, I'm sure you will do well!!

Since it's a condensed course, we had no midterm...She could have given the 2 final tests on 2 separate days like other professors do...and not teach on the last day. I can't get lower than an A minus on this course for my grad school!

Sounds like a typical condensed course, it's too much for some people (I personally only take condensed courses).
I'm not sure why you're upset that your professor is testing you on basic safety measures, these are extremely important things that you NEED to know. They should be freebie questions, easy ones to get right.
If I were you, I'd be studying instead of posting on forums. Complain after the test.

Our second test is not just on safety rules...I'm just saying that she should've tested us on it on the safety rules on the day after she taught us the rules...not on the last day of class.

Congratulations, it looks like you did cram enough into your head. You are hard on yourself, good job on a difficult subject, I hate bio.

I hate bio even more than I used to...because of the professor. I was taking 2 condensed science classes at once: bio and anatomy. The bio teacher made us do a written and oral report and 4 lecture exams (6 chapters per test), 4 quizzes (3 chapters per quiz) and a lab practical on the same day as the 4th lecture exam and plenty of homeworks...she even taught on the last day and gave us classwork to do (cuz she wasn't testing us on it since it was the last day)....I survived and got an A on both classes.
All I have left is to finish up my Capstone class (it's due in August) and to take the intro to psych CLEP and then I GRADUATE!
