I thought I would pass along an online website I use for free to study languages. I have been using this discussion board since 2007 before I made an account in 2010. I travel the world for work mostly in Asia but sometimes others places for fun. This requires me to use tutors, Universities, and online systems. So learning languages even at a very basic level for the short term is key. This forum kicked me into documenting my results back in 2007.
Recently I began using https://mangolanguages.com. I'm advancing my German studies and learning Malay for my next project preparation. The website is easy to use and works well overseas when traveling. Now here is the great part; sign up for a free account and then click organizations click on link organization. Now I used my local library in Oregon. and this gives me free access to all languages and it's site-wide so far.
I have tested out using various methods in Spanish, German, and Chinese using Universities, and Language Testing International. I have over 30 CR just in languages studies at various levels.
I hope this resource is helpful to others.

Hillsboro Or has an E-card for online access. I'm not sure but you might be able to use that for research.

I just looked up Seattle and Augusta GA so there seem to be many options. I would try to get the nearest library to you to work. Most cities give access to the library you can show cause such as for research.

Unfortunately, mine used to have Mango, but they took it away and replaced it with Rocket. So I don't think it's coming back any time soon.

The reason I went with Mango was that they offer languages outside of the mainstream that I needed like Malay. But the concept is the same if Rocket works and has what you need anyway.

Alas, Rocket isn't very good and the free institutional version only has level 1 of 3 for the languages they offer. It's very disappointing.

You can usually get a non-resident library card at a fee, which might be worth it for larger/unique library systems.
For example, my county library system offers membership to non-residents for a little over $200/year, while Mango Languages alone is $180.00/year for an individual. I'd check nearby colleges/universities and public libraries.
