Hi guys,
I'm trying to find out what a good score is on the practice tests on freeclepprep.com to know that you're ready for the real thing.
The site is a bit confusing on their FAQ answer for this question.
I mostly study with instantcert so I would like to just go take that test once to know if I'm ready. It seems like it's more designed to use the test as a study material though so they say to keep taking it until you get 90%. I don't really feel comfortable with that though because of course if you keep taking the same test you will get better and better and that just means you know the specific questions on that test, not necessarily a well rounded understanding of the subject. Especially considering the questions will be different on the real thing. That doesn't mean that I won't utilize the test after I take it for more study but I would definitely like to know if my first result is adequate.
Anyway, this is for the Environment and Humanity DSST. I usually use the official clep study guide book for my clep practice tests and if I get around 60% I feel comfortable to go for the real thing and have always passed with that so far.
Does anyone have experience with the freeclepprep.com tests? Would you say a similar score of 60% would likely be accurate?
Any feedback would help
Thanks everyone!!

These questions always have the, it depends answer. The reason being is because of study habits and test taking skills and strategies that go with it.
Each resource is there to help you recall as much info for your next text and only one person will know when you're ready, for some 70% on practice tests might be sufficient, for others it's an ego boost to have 80% before hey head into the real exam.
So, ask that one person, where they are at and if they feel they have prepared well... For me, I will say, go and get to 75%+, and more practice testing as that's where it well help the most...

I took that same exam with freeclepprep being my main resource. Their test is very good! My highest score was a 78, and I passed the real test with a 445! That being said I was freaked out during the test.

You're just an awesome testing machine! I like reading your posts about your successful exam tests. Somewhat inspirational, until you finish your degree, I'll be looking forward to another passing test from you :hurray:

You should ask the author of the test what he suggests for a passing score.

I got a 56! Freeclepprep's sample test is pretty accurate. REA is good too.

Personally I like going for a 75% or better when taking the REA Practice Test. Hitting 75%+ I have scored 61/59 when I was hitting 70's I scored 55 on the CLEP. So for me 75%+ seems to be the sweet spot.
