Im in the military, therefore I can take the CLEP and DSST tests for free. All I intended to do was to study the flash cards, memorize them and take the test. Do I really need to look at all of the other resources that yall are saying or will what I plan on doing be enough to pass?

The additional resources that have been mentioned on different posts usually have at least one example tests included. The REA CLEP Guides each have three full length practice tests. I have found a lot of free sample tests on-line, but the most that one of these have had is 30 questions. Any sample tests you do take will help you judge whether or not you are ready to take the test. This may serve as a good indicator for your actual score, but most web-sites and books say not to count on your sample scores.
However, if you are confident you can pass without one of the sample tests, go for it!
Here is a list of web-sites with free tests:

Personally, I wanted the most efficient means of learning the key points of each subject, not the minutia. The last thing that I wanted to do was to study 75 different sources recommended by 100 people. For me, the IC flashcards and the Specific Exam Feedback provided by people who also used the IC cards was the key to passing every one of my exams quickly and efficiently.

I second Geezer!
Before finding IC, I had no choice but to review the CLEP/DSST outline, find the books suggested and study everything. Unless it is a subject I really want to know more about, the method stated by Geezer is enough to pass the tests and you still learn surprising amounts of interesting information.
No need to waste time or money otherwise.

All of my tests so far have been done with a combination of IC + Specific forum feedback + Wikipedia for concepts that I couldn't learn from IC alone.
I spend about 80% of my time on IC + Specific Forum feedback, but I do really need to use Wikipedia sometimes.
I click on some of the links (but definitely not all) that I find recommended by the members here. Usually I don't spend a lot of time on them, but there have been exceptions from time to time.
DS is 15 and is learning topics for the first time, unlike many of us here, who are using previous college/work/life experience to help get us through these tests. He hasn't done a lot so far, but for his SA test, in addition to my typical resources, he also used freeclepprep.com. We have a $9.99 Netflix subscription on our PS3 so for under 10 bucks a month, he can watch unlimited movies. While he was preparing for SA, he watched several drug documentaries as well.
I guess the point I'm making here is that probably for most adults, IC is enough, but it does depend on your level of previous knowledge in the topic and sometimes it boils down to interest. If I am enjoying my IC cards, things seem to stick. If it's a subject that doesn't interest me, it is tougher. If it's something that you just can't learn through IC, you'll need to cement your knowledge somehow so that you're fully prepared for the test. There is no right answer and each person for each exam will have a different situation.
